But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away” 1 Cor. 13:9-10 Prophecy entails foretelling, it is given so that the body of Christ can envision the future and prepare for it. “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou mightiest war a good warfare” 1 Tim.1:18 Through prophecy, we know the plans God has for us and what we are meant to become. THE MINISTRY OF THE PROPHETS (PART 1) GENERAL OVERVIEW “I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets ” Hos.12:10 A prophet is given as a voice of the Lord. He is a person ordained to see visions, dreams or trance concerning people whether past, present or future. He is also given the grace to understand and interpret parables, fables and mysteries unknown to the common man. God called prophets to act as an intermediary between Him and man.
